Redscan is a UK-based cybersecurity services company specialising in ethical hacking and managed detection & response. With no active PR presence in 2017 and almost no media coverage, Redscan needed to increase its PR output to get noticed by the media, reach the top of Google’s search rankings and raise awareness among potential customers for its innovative cybersecurity services. Alongside wider SEO and marketing efforts, PR was seen as an essential requirement for realising the number of inbound requests it required to thrive in the ultra-competitive cybersecurity industry.

Decoded Comms started working with Redscan in mid-January 2018 and secured 129 pieces of earned media coverage by the end of the year – from a target of 48. This included top tier titles such as the Financial Times, Reuters, Telegraph, Wired and many more, helping Redscan drive a record number of visitors to its site and double its number of inbound inquiries.
